What should I pay attention to when working at height?

What should I pay attention to when working at height?

1. All work carried out at a location 2 meters above the ground should be regarded as work at height. Any work that can be done in advance on the ground must be done on the ground to minimize high-altitude operations.

2. Personnel working at heights must be in good health. Persons who suffer from mental illness, epilepsy, hypertension, heart disease and other diseases that are not suitable for working at heights are not allowed to participate in high-altitude operations. It is forbidden to climb the heights when it is found that the staff is drinking or lacking energy.

3. All work at high places must first build scaffolding or take measures to prevent the team from falling.

4. Work on dam crests, steep slopes, roofs, cliffs, poles, towers, suspension bridges and other dangerous edges. Safety nets or protective railings should be installed on the side of the air, otherwise the staff must use safety belts.

5. The ice, snow, gravel, and soil on steep walls, steep slopes or sidewalks must be cleaned frequently, and a 1-meter high railing must be installed on the outer side. 18 cm high side panels or soil ridges are provided on the inner side of the railings to prevent falling objects from hurting people.

6. When working on a scaffold without scaffolding or railing, and the height exceeds 1.5 meters, safety belts must be used or other reliable safety measures must be taken.

7. Safety belts should be inspected before use, and static load tests should be carried out regularly (every 6 months). The test load is 225 kg and the test time is 5 minutes. After the test, check whether there is any deformation, rupture, etc., and do Good test record. Unqualified seat belts should be dealt with in time.

8. The hook or rope of the safety belt should be hung on a strong member or a steel wire rope specially designed for hanging the safety belt. Do not hang on moving or unstable objects.

9. All tool bags should be used when working at heights. Larger tools should be tied to solid components with ropes, and they are not allowed to be placed randomly to prevent accidents from falling from a high altitude.

10. When working at heights, except for related personnel, no others are allowed to go or stay below the working place. Fences or other protective devices should be installed under the working place to prevent falling objects from hurting people. If working on a grid-like platform, in order to prevent tools and equipment from falling, wooden boards should be laid.
